Profile Vic Merjanian is the founder and managing partner of Kalfayan Merjanian LLP’s Newport Beach office. Merjanian has attained substantial recoveries on behalf of his clients. His primary practice areas include antitrust, business litigation, civil litigation and personal injury law.

Merjanian’s most notable publication is Ensuring Access to Affordable Medication: The Supreme Court’s Opinion in F.T.C. v. Actavis, Inc., published in the Fall 2013 issue of The Journal of the Antitrust and Unfair Competition Law section of the State Bar of California. Some of his other publications include: Shipping Implied Warranty Liability: Vertical Privity and the Implied Warranty Bundled into Your Online Shopping Cart; Law Goes Green; and Reducing Greenhouse Gases from Electricity and Natural Gas Use in San Diego County Buildings: An Analysis of Local Government Policy Options.
Education Mr. Merjanian received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from University of California, San Diego with a 4.0 GPA.

Subsequently, he received his Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego, School of Law where he also served as co-founder and editor-in-chief of the inaugural edition of The San Diego Journal of Climate & Energy Law, the nation’s first student-run climate change and renewable energy law journal.

Prior to joining Kalfayan Merjanian, LLP, Mr. Merjanian clerked for an administrative law judge at the Department of Health and Human Services.
Admissions Affiliations Mr. Merjanian serves as a Board Member of the Board of Directors for Two Wings, a non-profit organization dedicated to educating, mentoring and life coaching to empower at-risk youth and survivors of sex trafficking.

Previously, he served as a co-founder and leader of a community group in San Diego dedicated to assisting the families of deployed military personnel.

He is also a member of Surfrider Foundation.
